About/Credo
Hallo. I'm Holly.
I believe in alchemy. I believe in turning life into art, and I want to live a life that's like art — full of ferocity, joy, stillness, strangeness.
I believe in being fully present, in seeing beauty in small moments and finding not only the devil but also God in the details. I believe in a way of living that a Zen master compared to eating a tangerine.
I'm a twenty-one-year-old anthropology student in the Chicago area, in exile from my native and beloved San Francisco during the academic year.
A camera is one of my essential requirements for staying sane. I don't eat meat, and I'm a Christian and a feminist. I fit the middle child stereotypes pretty well. I really adore my pet rat.
And I love connecting with other artists, oddities, and tangerine eaters. Like you.
Here's my contact information and a list of other places you can find me online.

(Also: you may have noticed that the archives go back to 2003. I blogged for a while my freshman year in high school, then didn't take it back up until 2007, when I was a freshman in college. I like to keep the old old posts here for the same reason that yearbooks publish baby pictures: They're good for laughs, and they give you an idea of where I've come from.)
